The primary goal of these services is to enable participants to engage more meaningfully in both home and community life, including support within competitive employment workplaces. Our Companion Services are designed to offer both supervision and assistance in an inclusive community setting, ensuring participants are integrated and not segregated from the broader community.

  1. Health and Safety Supervision: Ensure the health and safety of participants through constant supervision, promptly addressing any potential risks or needs that may arise.
  2. Assistance with Daily Living Activities: Support participants in their daily routines, including personal grooming, household care, meal preparation, and ambulation, enhancing their ability to live independently.
  3. Enhancement of Community and Home Life: Facilitate the participant's active involvement in community activities and more meaningful engagement at home.
  4. Support in Employment Settings: Provide necessary assistance at the participant’s place of employment, ensuring they can perform their job duties effectively and safely.

Our services focus on routine household maintenance as well as intensive cleaning needs, which are crucial for participants requiring a higher standard of cleanliness due to medical conditions.

 

Service Objectives:

  1. Maintain Household Hygiene: Provide regular cleaning and laundry services to ensure a clean and hygienic living environment.
  2. Meal Preparation: Assist with the preparation of healthy meals, accommodating any dietary restrictions and preferences.

  • For rental properties, Effective Change will review the lease agreement to determine the landlord's responsibilities before authorizing services, ensuring that only necessary services are provided by our staff.
